The Summer of Riots
Personal Project

Few words

'The Midsummer Nights of Riot'* is a reaction piece on UK riots which took place early in August 2011.

All words featured in this project are more or less direct quotations of the public**, various journalists, politicians, and the rioters themselves. Thus all of it being an opinion of some sort, I’ve decided to put in together in a new context.

This new perspective serves as a narrative and shows startling contrast in differences of opinion, motives and calls for removal of civil liberties and more violence.

* The name of the project is a nod to Shakespearian's The Midsummer Night's Dream. I always liked the title.
